Fair Housing Leadership Workshops
There is a great deal of work to be done to eliminate housing segregation and discrimination, and we all have something to offer in building a more just future. We believe that we are all leaders and that there are many ways to advance fair housing in a way that matches your skills and interests. Fair Housing Leaders serve as advocates for open, accessible, and inclusive communities and for the Building the Beloved Community interfaith initiative.
To become a Fair Housing Leader, we offer an interactive workshop in which you will have the opportunity to learn more about fair housing rights and issue, and the role you can play to advocate for fair housing in your community. During these workshops, leaders will have the opportunity to reflect on their own experiences of housing and how fair housing issues impact their communities. And Fair Housing Leaders will leave these workshops with not only a deeper understanding of how housing discrimination and segregation impact our everyday lives, but also with the beginnings of an action plan to begin creating change. Fair Housing Leaders will then go back into their communities, empowered by our passionate community change makers in our leadership network, and will work with the FHJC to bring their action plans to life.
