Interfaith Action Network
What can you do to advance fair housing in your community? While the need for greater enforcement of fair housing laws is shared across the nation, each state, city, and community have specific housing issues, needs, and policies that need to be addressed. Housing discrimination persists and residential racial segregation continues to inflict tremendous harm on individuals, families, and entire communities. As people of faith, it is important to find out whether these concerns are being addressed and if there is something you can do today to make your community more open, accessible, and inclusive.
The Interfaith Action Network is comprised of diverse religious congregations and faith communities, ordained clergy and lay leaders who share a commitment to fair housing and willingness to take action to address fair housing issues and concerns as they arise.

Host a Fair Housing Training
Becoming informed about fair housing rights and fair housing issues in your community can empower you to act. Knowing your rights puts you in a better position to exercise them. Learning more about the fair housing issues and concerns in your community can equip you to effectively act for change. Consider whether your religious congregation or house of worship would be interested in hosting a presentation or workshop on fair housing. The FHJC is happy to work with your group or organization to put together a successful event that is tailored to your community’s interests and needs.
If you are interested in planning a fair housing presentation or event in your community, fill out our event inquiry form here. Become a Fair Housing Leader
There is a great deal of work to be done to eliminate housing segregation and discrimination and make fair housing a reality in our region. Transforming representatives of diverse faith communities into leaders and educators will help us achieve this mission. Fair Housing Leaders will attend an in depth training where they will develop a fluency in fair housing issues and in how to use the FHJC’s Fair Housing Toolkit, among other resources, to educate and engage their community. Fair Housing Leaders will also be given opportunities to work with the FHJC though the Interfaith Action Network on various issues that match their skill set and interests.
If you are interested in attending a leadership training and volunteering to become a Fair Housing Leader you can email the FHJC’s Education Coordinator Caitlin Mroz at firstname.lastname@example.org. Stay tuned for upcoming training dates.
